Question Frozen Egg... But why?

I have read other folks have had problems with their Eggs freezing up, and I have a starter cube dropped on to try to raise the temp so I can open the lid. My question is... Why does this happen? I have noticed mold and water inside this Egg that is have never seen with my other Egg. It seems well sealed. Any ideas??
