Picked up a Craycort cast iron grate for my 22.5 Performer.

Took four legs and coated with EVOO and some S&P and put them on the cool side to render out the fat and slow cook em.

Here they are all crisped up on the hot side. The skin was incredible and they were really juicy. So far I'm liking this grate.

The CI grates, hold more heat or just because they will last indefinitely? or?

Yeah, I saw it there....I had been thinking of doing something different than I normally do this weekned and I rarely ever do chicken and then all these legs pop up for the TD. It's fate :biggrin1:
 
The grates are very well made and heavy. They hold the heat and clean up easy. A quick wipe with some evoo and you're ready for the next cook. These will last a long time.
