Default Butcher's BBQ Brisket Feedback Inquiry

Guys,

I ordered some of this stuff the other day and got it in today. I was looking for your feedback on how well this has worked for you as far as helping your meat retain moisture and making the meat tender. Any feedback that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Do I need to worry about injection spots using this liquid? It does not appear to be a dark substance. Directions say just to add a certain amount of water and inject it.

I love the stuff. I follow the directions and then add one cup of beef broth as I like to put lots of liquid in the brisket. Results are excellent!!

Don't ever use this stuff in a contest if you're competing against me.

This stuff is terrible for all of your competition.

I think you should get rid of it all by mailing it to me.

Been competing since 2003. I got a 1st in brisket at Silent Valley in August 2006. Never had higher than a 14th before that or after that. Got some of this in March of 2008, 1st at Wishland, 8th at Hesperia, 5th at Clovis. You can sipher the rest for yourself. No spots that I have ever seen. Larry Hill from BLQ, which makes the best brisket I have ever tasted will not use it, he think it makes brisket taste like pot roast!

Kinda like Fab- products.
I tried it. Was not to thrilled. I have done better without. But may try again as the first time I think it may have been the meat.

Keep the feedback coming fellows. I plan on giving it a try this weekend with a practice brisket. I can't wait to see and report the results.

I tried it once at home and once at a comp last month. I was happy with the end result, but I didn't score any higher than I have in the past without it. I need a couple more cooks before I make up my mind on it, can't help but wondering if at the comp it took what might have been a subpar result and made it respectable.

No doubt that it is worth some experimenting.

Butchers and FAB are not magic wands for bad brisket.

Both brands use some chemistry to help with flavoring and moisture retention in a properly cooked brisket.

My team has won using FAB in briskets and without. The times we didn't score well, we screwed something up.

The injections can help enhance the finished product.

I will be trying some Butcher's when I shoot through my FAB supply.
