Good stuff! Particularly the brisket. Rodney cooks all wood on a homemade offset.

Also Steve's Cheese, which is located inside of a wine shop is a nice place. My brother in law works there sometimes. He also cooks sausage at the Portland Farmer's Market....not sure if the market is over for the season.....

Steve’s Cheese is a specialty retail cheese counter in Northwest
Portland located inside Square Deal Wine Shop.

We are located at:
  • 2321 NW Thurman StreetPortland, Oregon 97210

For fancy pants meal you could check out Wildwood, which is a fairly well known Pacific NW fine dining restaurant. He uses the fresh, local products really well.

ETA: no relation to the Wildwood that I will be cooking at in NYC.

If you don't mind taking a little drive, up across into Washington and east a little ways in the town of Camas there's a place called Big Lou's that my folks rave about. As I haven't been there meself, this is second hand, but my folks like MY Q so...<smirk>

Enjoy the city of Roses!

Not Q related but take a drive along the Columbia river.......up on the side of the bluff.......not on the interstate down on the river bed. There is a scenic drive interspersed with places to stop and see many different waterfalls. Some are right off the road, a few you have to walk a little ways back into the woods to see.
Here is a picture of Multnomah falls which is right off the road
