I joined the forums a few days ago and never formally introduced myself... for that, I apologize.

I am from the lower hudson valley area (just outside of NYC). I work with a weber smokey mountain 22.5", a weber genesis gas grill, grill gates, maverick et-73 and I recently ordered a DigiQ.

Favorite thing to cook: Def pork shoulder.
Favorite eat: St. Louis ribs

I already have the event on my calendar!

I am also planning on attending the event in Long Island.

If any of you guys have a team that has a free spot for a "souix pitmaster" - let me know! I can't find anyone around me that wants to create a team.
 
Hi Jake and welcome aboard... I have the DigiQ as well and I really love it. It takes some of the maintenance out of cooking on the WSM, even though there is not really that much maintenance involved to begin with. I have done several 14+ hour cooks with it and never had to add any fuel on my 18.5 model.
 
you may be a newbie but your in the hometown of Dinosaur BBQ. I am very jealous!
