Default 32F reading on Memphis grill

Getting a 32f reading on the grill. Will run for awhile then shutdown with ER2 code. Any help?

•*Check*the*hopper*for*sufficient*fuel. •*Check*the*burn*pot*for*ash*build‐up*or*other*obs tructions. •*Check*igniter*to*see*if*it*is*heating*up(igniter *may*need*replacing). •*In*extreme*cold,*grill*may*require*additional*pr iming*to*achieve* ignition. •*Make*sure*hood*is*closed.** •*Grill*will*not*stay*lit. •*Check*the*hopper*for*sufficient*fuel. •*Check*the*burn*pot*for*ash*build‐up*or*other*obs tructions. •*Make*sure*hood*is*closed.

ITC*Constantly* Reads*32
•*Damaged*ITC •*Contact* your dealer or Heartland Products

I found that on the Memphis site under one of the manuals.

I would guess ignition problem. Make sure your fire pot is clean. Unplug for a few minutes, then plug it back in. Keep an eye on the fire pot. If it doesn't light in a few minutes, light it with a torch. See if to runs good from there.

I’ve lit it with a torch and it still died out

I think your ITC (Intelligent Temperature Control) has gone bad. There is definitely drawbacks to technology, but to me the benefits far outweigh the negatives. Always have a backup plan.

Hmm. If the whole controller went bad I have an old rectec one. Same design but not set up for it. Or the new rectec WiFi one is 100 bucks.

I'd call Memphis and see what they have to say before I tried to retrofit anything.

It might just be a bad temperature probe. When they go bad, you get all kinds of crazy readings.
