Thank you folks! We were very pleased with our results! Yes, this was our second ever contest...and what a contest it was! 65 team and the who's who of CA BBQ. Largest BBQ contest in CA history.
We also made things difficult for ourselves. We did PC and cooked and sold over 100 tri-tips, and 20 dozen cupcakes at the same time. Brother John R2Egg2Q was a super star and did almost all of the tri-tip cooking for me and helped out all day long! My family dug in and put in their all and we had some amazing friends come out and help us and cheer us on. Hearing my name called for 1st place ribs, 10th brisket and 3rd overall was simply stunning to me! I am still in shock!
