Would one of you fine UDS builders be so kind as to recommend the proper placement of the top grate when using a Weber lid. I have 2 grates in my barrel, need to know the best spot to mount 2nd. Thanks

Do you want to know where to mount the top grate, or the bottom grate?
Using a Weber lid, you can put the top one an inch or two down, and the second grate 6 or so inches below that.
Others will have different opinions, just my two cents.

I put the top grate as high as I could. The bottom grate is about 5 or 6" lower.
