Default Tri-Tip = Sirloin Tip Roast?

i live on a farm and we have beef cattle, digging through my freezer for some roasts to make a pot roast with i came across a Sirloin Tip Roast, is this the tri tip i see on here all the time?

Same cut, different name! Comes from the bottom sirloin primal.

Often I have seen retailers and butchers call a round tip a "sirloin tip" which is not a bottom sirloin. Post a pic if you can.

Bottom sirloin is a primal cut. The "sub-primal" sirloin tip comes out of that. Should be good with the east coast/mid west butchers. I'm in cali and everyone knows what a tri-tip is!

all my beef comes wrapped in white paper, no bar codes
i raise my own beef and pork
