Jay, I'll try to sneak by but I'm cooking dinner for the R&N office there in Columbia that night. They're giving me $250 towards meat and entry so I gotta keep 'em happy!

We'll send you a bill for the live entertainment portion then.......
We gotta get Mokan, HoDeDo, Doorbusters, and all them other Q cats from the KC area down here to cook our little contest.....the object.....get you all drunk and hung over and Bellys and Team Q get grand and reserve......

Just kidding! We just want to be hospitable in our own backyard.....

I'm penciled in for mason city.... but you might just change my mind. ;o)
Mason City also has a Margarita contest Fri Night and a Bloody Mary contest Sat. morning. Guess I wouldnt need those if you are going to bowl me over on Friday night (hahaha)

Do they have a kid's que out there... my daughter is likely the swaying vote!!

Yep Andy they do have a kids Q... and Mason City vs. Columbia... at $2.89 a gallon, which one do YOU think is gonna be cheaper?

Gary, the trouble with Columbia for a lot of these guys up here is that I'm not sure they want to do Columbia and Laurie back to back. Not sure I do either but I've paid so it's too late now...

Don't listen to the dark side Andy, come up north and get some proper judging !!!
Spice, thanks for the invite. I made a purchase yesterday of that beautifull thermometer and some other goodies, now I feel like I'm buying!!
Have a good weekend everybody.

Didn't know that that was you or I would have slipped you a little something extra. I need a good way to identify Brethren on my web site. Your order went out this morning.

Back on topic--- We are getting a huge tent and hope we don't have 100 + degrees this year!!

I wish Diesel was only $2.89 in KS.... $100.01 to fill my tank on Sunday.
Columbia would be cheaper!!! I may not cook, just accept Jay's invitation, and drive the VW out @ 29MPG.

Man I wish we could come out and cook. Last year it was the same hot weekend as Bellevue, NE so we couldn't make it. This year it is the OL's birthday weeknd. That normally isn't a problem but this one is divisble by 5 so it is probably important that I am available. That means I can't even accept your invitation to come out Friday night.

Spice, thanks for the nice thought anyway. Looking forward to using that pretty little thermo unit.

On the subject of fuel and such, I don't know how you guys do this. I do pretty well in life and I don't think I could consistantly shell out the fuel, entry fees, meat costs, etc everyother weekend like that.
I'm just mighty impressed with your love of the sport. I will always give you your due when judging an event. Theres more to it than just shoving free chow down your neck!!!
Smoke on my brothers, smoke on.
