Does anyone know what paint the pro pit builders use? My old jambo had a texture to the paint that was real durable. Looking to paint an old stick burner...

I use high heat automotive paint. Engine enamel and brake caliper paint is pretty durable. I quit using the grill paint.

I use automotive header paint. It contains silica which provides a nice powder coated type of finish.

I have yet to find a paint that lasts. I just let my UDS and offset go to their natural state.

I'm in the middle of re-painting a smoker.
Used the VHT high heat spraypaint (2000° primer, 650° base coat and 2000° clear coat)

Looks SWEET so far but have yet to finish and do the seasoning/bake-in of the paint.

When I built my pit last winter i used Thermo-lux, it survived a full season and the firebox is still in perfect shape.
