That’s a really good looking pit! Love the flat top addition to the round firebox for a hot plate and also love the plate

Drooling on the welds, I want to build a smoker myself and have bought a welder. But... will be a while if ever mine look like that.

The door is cut and the opening for the collector.

The unit might be delayed unfortunately, the ball valve for the drain seems to be out of stock where the builder is.

Curious about his welder, due to lack of slag look I'll guess it's not a stick welder nor a coated wire but a Argon shielded wire. I can make a weld run like that but absolutely not that massive width and depth. Could you ask what his set up is?
I and most others I'm sure are mighty impressed.

It’s a Mig setup with mix gas and .35 solid wire.

Now I need suggestions on what kind of equipment I need to handle getting the wood to size. I do not even own an axe or hatchet. Recommend away brethren!
