Very nice rig and it looks like it will give you very even cooks. Never use a pellet cooker, but that might change some day if I keep seeing neat gear and good looking cooks here on QTalk.

The Rec-Tec is 200F to 500F. Some pellet grills like the Memphis can go to about 650 for grilling. As for me, I smoke on my pellet grills around 225 to 275 most of the time. If I want to grill a steak or burger nothing beats a good 'ol charcoal grill. However, I do chicken on my pellet grills about 325 to 375 for a good skin. That's the hottest I've ever used on my pellet grills.

I have not cooked on a Yoder but they seem like very good smokers.

The pellet hopper holds 40 pounds. Burns about a pound per hour.

I don't know the exact number, I just got the smoker. It has a lot of space though and if rib racks were used you could get quite a few on there.

Thanks very much for the pics and report. I someday will be buying a pellet pooper and have stored this as well as others in my BBQ file cabint (head).
Thanks for the effort.

It says on the website that it is tall enough to hold turkeys, do you think it will?
