Fennel Pollen

I'm watching a show on FoodTv where the chef used fennel pollen. Said it is a staple of Tuscan cooking. Anyone heard of it or used it?

It may be a staple in Tuscan cooking, but at those prices I don't think it will be a staple in my cooking :-D

That stuff grows wild on the side of the road all over the place around here.
