I’m from Delaware and have been a pellet head for close to seven years now. I only own one smoker and that is a MAK 2 Star General. It meets my needs. I was fortunate that my wife purchased the General for me as a house warming gift. She was fortunate that a good friend of ours was a MAK dealer at the time and gave her a killer deal on the pellet grill. Anyway, I’m glad to have joined this group and look forward to continuing my learning curve in the low and slow world...

From one happy MAK owner to another... welcome to the Brethren! 7 years, eh? What’s the serial number of your MAK (guessing its pretty low)? Let’s see a pic or two... love seeing the older MAK’s in action :)

Rwalters, my 2Star is #604. I recently upgraded to the Flashfire Ignitor system which is a pretty good improvement over the old rod style ignitor. I added a few pics of the last brisket I did.

Welocme to the asylum!

Take a look around and if you have questions please feel free to contact the moderator team or our senior members. Their names are color coded so you can recognized them.

Also, each section of the forum has a description that you can use to figure out where to post.

Finally, please review our rules! They are pretty straight forward, but looking at them up front may help to eliminate problems later

Oh! Don't forget to add your name to the Brethren Map, located at the top of this Cattle Call forum.

Most important, have fun and join in our conversations and share and learn!

Killer brisket!!! Love the cut out in your deck that the MAK sits in... almost like it was meant to be... or was it? :)
