Howdy!

I've been smoking meat for a long, long time. A friend just pointed this site out toe me, and said she spent a good deal of time here, so I thought I'd come and visit for a while. Although I really enjoy smoke cooking, I've never competed (officially), but I would like the opportunity to help out with some folks on the circuits to learn how the comps go. Maybe some day.

Along with BBQ, I spend a lot of time in traditional and authentic border Mexican and Tex-Mex cooking - working up new dishes and researching authentic old recipes. You'd be surprised what passes for "real" Mexican, Tex-Mex or chili in most of the country! Some of my stuff even ends up on my blog for others to peruse.

Anyway, that's about it for me.

Howdy Mark. Glad you decided to join us. Can't get too many Texans on here in my opinion.

She isn't an Okie by chance, is she?
