Beef cheeks seasoned with Naturiffic Peppery Lime. Smoked nekkid with hickory for a few hours then into a braising bath of chipotle adobo, tomatoe sauce, Mexican cola, Gebhardts chili powder and Aleppo pepper. Foiled and back into cooker for another couple hours until shredable. Made for some great tacos!

That's heaven right there. Nice job Greg! Cheeks has to be one of the most flavorful cuts beef.

I’m a taco guy but I’ve got to admit there are some damn fine tacos cooks on this thread. Touchdown!

Beef cheeks are some of my favorites. Looks danged fine!

Wish I could find some cheeks....may need to drive a bit to find the right butcher. I can get oxtail, shank, neck bones, etc at the grocer just down the street....no cheek though.

Wow! Nice cheeks!
Thanks for noticing! Love the Peppery Lime.
Hey neighbor,

Where did you find those?
Lucky Dog from Davis, is a vendor at Farmer’s Market at Sunrise and Folsom Saturday mornings. Great selection of cuts and can get you anything if ask!
Muchas Gracias!
Decadent,:thumb: love beef cheeks.

Thanks, they were, but my daughter wouldn’t eat them. Next time I wont tell her it’s cheek meat

I love taco's done right, and we can't get 'em up here those beef cheeks look amazing!

I'm so jealous of all of you that can find these awesome cheeks. All I can find around here are nasty Wally World cheeks. They still turn out pretty good, but they are nasty looking when I start out.

Tell her after she devours a few. Couple of years ago had a BBQ, neighbors came over, the kids were always really picky eaters. I smoked a goat leg, kids knew I made good que, but kept asking what it was. I just kept saying it was good stuff.

After they stuffed their faces I told them it was goat, they didn't bat an eye and made a few more tacos. Their mom was amazed.

Just tell them it is delicious goodness!

I see them sometimes in Wal-Mart. I would think Bichelmeyer's would have them. They have a lot of variety in their store.
