safe for uds build?

found a drum for $8 bucks (with lid) to build a uds. the contents was some kind of paint for surfaces like a tennis court. no liner in it. will a good burn take care of it or should i keep looking.

On another thread, fellas were talking about sand blasting. I'd like to try that, then burn and season... Then cook.
