I know all grills have temp swings. How are your temp swings with the new controller?? I’ve heard some users of the old controller complain of big swings. Just wondered how this controller is in that area??

I don't notice big swings on my older YS640. I think a lot comes down to start up and letting it get to temp. I've stopped letting it get to 350F at startup like Yoder suggests. I start it, make sure pellets are burning and then I set it to the temp I want. Minimal temp swings and no unnecessary burning of pellets.

The Yoder Fireboard implementation is awesome; makes me realize how bad the Thermoworks Signals I bought before are is. I really like how I can set up a fully programmed mode for a 16 hour brisket cook where I start really low, cook, then set a hold temp.
