I'm curious about that smoke stack configuration, is the end cap cut out behind all that plate or is there just a smaller hole in the center?

edit: I looked at the Mill Scale site and they had a pic of that smoke stack from the inside, it's all cut out behind there.

Probably because he stole a design that I would bet Franklin or Mill Scale are trying to patent. Or it’s just a guy welding stuff in his back yard and not really a business.

How’s it handle the heat coming from the firebox? Have to use a water pan? Have tuning plates or a deflector?
