Default Blackstone Saturday

I picked up my new SS Blackstone 36 yesterday and got it unpacked, assembled, and seasoned last night. Got up this morning and made breakfast for the family. Nothing special, bacon, hash browns, and some eggs. Fired up the smoker this afternoon and smoked some burgers. This was my first attempt at smoked burgers. They came out pretty darn good. Smoked for about hour and a half then finished them off on the griddle. Topped with extra hot green chile, avacodo, and bacon.

I learned to season steel buy making Discos/cowboy woks and selling them. I sold them seasoned so folks could use them as soon as they got em. Top pic is mine, I've had that for about 15+ years. That one is well seasoned. The bottom one is one I recently built, seasoned, and that is the 1st pound of bacon on it.

Awesome! Mine is calling to me from the garage...if not for this ridiculous Chicago weather, I'd have it back out and cranking away like yours. Thanks for sharing!
