i seasoned the tri-tip with kikoman teriyaki sauce, dizzy pig dizzy dust and red eye express and simply marvelous sweet and spicy.

i seared it on the spider and then finished it on the adjustable rig and pulled it at 140.

Looks outstanding. Nice job on the meat and the pics.

I really need to get myself a tri-tip and attempt my first as well. They're not real popular around my neck of the woods (but big in CA, from what I remember hearing about them) but I should be able to track one down if I try.
