What I'm tryin to say......ya don't need no fancy a$$ injecter like Myron. Remember your just trying to convey liquid approximately 2" from the source into the meat.

I have a myron type injector, I used it a lot last year, but this year i switched back to a smaller vet type injector i picked up from Rural King and I also bought 18g disposable needles so when i am done i re cap them and pitch everything at home.

I'll put another good word in for the SpitJack injector. I have one that I use all the time and really like it.

Jumpin' Jeebus! These needles are HUGE!! Very sturdy looking, but they appear to be about 1/8" in diameter. Folks actually use these and dont turn their meat into Swiss Cheese? What say you Spitjack owners? I just ordered one of the smaller needles and an adapter in hopes it will work with the injector needles I've been using

I'll never again use a syringe that you had to draw manually. The Spitjack and the like are way too much work and over priced. I use an automatic 5ml syringe that tube feeds right from your injection bottle. These cut your injection time by 2/3 and can utilize disposable needles as small as 20 gauge, which leaves virtually no puncture mark.
Anyone who has seen my system knows what I'm talking about. http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.h...8-edd8320ec6fe

I got the spitjack a couple of Xmas's ago and have been using that, I love it. Also another syringe type manual injector is the one from Butcher BBQ. They are only $2 ea.

Started with the Cajun Injector, threw mine away after last year I discovered the vet syringes sold by Butchers, as mentioned by Smokin Hoggz. Those are pretty nice and you cant beat the price. But then Todd introduced my to the tube-feed automatic syringe. WOW is all I can say, these things rock. Since he let the cat out of the bag, I will say that I found mine here:
https://jrgsupply.com/shop/product_i...ck2dp1r67ddg83 These guys also sell individual leur lock needles with aluminum hub. Most vet places only sell needles in boxes in of 100. Here's the 18ga needles Todd mentioned earlier: https://jrgsupply.com/shop/product_i...ck2dp1r67ddg83

I work in a doctors office so have plenty of access to large gauge needles and 50ml syringes. But a pepper flake always clogs it, leading to enormous frustration. Think a spit jack is in this guys future.
