Is that a fatty?

stupid cityboy question.. isnt a tamale wrappped in a corn husk or something?

City Boy question #2

Don't you brown the rolls in AZ?

chit.,. i need glasses ..... i thought that was 2 scoops of mashed taters..

Im just a farm kid who was raised in da city here. WTF is in them thar taters????

Yeah, It's a fatty. We call them Mojoe's because I don't think Fatty is a good word on a menu.

The tamale comes from the CORN chips on the outside as well as the ingredients.

They were smoked in the smoker for three hours, the corn chips don't take on a whole lot of color.

The mashed taters have the skins on and are loaded with bacon and onions.

Whatever it is , it looks good!!! Last fatty I cooked was rolled in Lays potato chip crumbs.....try it sometime!

Grrruufff (clearing my throat)

In my best John Wayne voice

"Hey pilgrim WTF is wrapped around those peppers?"
"A meaty cornhusk?"

Yeah, it is. It is seasoned meat wrapped in (cornmeal) masa in a corn husk and steamed. Mine look like this before steaming.

Frito's are basically fried strips of seasoned masa. It sounds like Joe is on to something here.

I'd never thought of it that way- but that's a perfect description!

And I definitely think Joe's onto something with this! Of course, most of the time I just think Joe's on something.

Looks damn good Joe. Thanks for the idea. I'll improvise of course. Not many whopping big japs so far this year. Colorado's, Poblano's, etc should work too.
