Default Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew - Austin, TX

Having already visited Franklin BBQ in Austin, I wanted to try another spot I'd heard good things about. Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew is in the Brentwood neighborhood of Austin & is located in a renovated portion of a strip mall. There's plenty of parking & outdoor seating available. I got there at 11:50am expecting a line & was pleasantly surprised that I was able to walk right up to the cut man and place my order. There were about a dozen people already in the place, but as soon as I sat down, the que filled up & I was glad I'd gotten there a bit before the lunch bell. I ordered some lean & fatty brisket, two original Switch links, and banana pudding.

The brisket seemed to be fresh out of the smoker, so I was a bit disappointed in how dry the lean slices were. They were complimented well by a dip in the sauce, but that should never be necessary. The fatty slices though, were perfect. Great beefy flavor, moist, fat well rendered, & delicious. The sausages were also excellent. The Switch Original is a spicy link in a natural casing full of juice & flavor. The banana pudding was the just the perfect Texas BBQ desert.
