We have been keeping Christmas small for a few years so we can help others with donations & gift cards.

I got a new chef's coat, pastry brush and two new SS 12" tongs to replace the pair I "donated" to our church for a recent cooking event that somehow got mixed in with the dishes to be washed. Also got a pastry brush & and a metal mesh insert for a half pan that may or may not be used for comp chicken in the future.

We will also buy each other the gift of fixing whatever is wrong with my wife's car, as it died while driving to my Mom's house to deliver presents to her yesterday.

Goofy coffee mug from the kiddo. Also a new ladel and silcone tongs from the wife. Best of all a wife and family who allow me to spend excessive amounts of time to endulge in this new found love of burning meat.

My wife and Santa did well. Hooked me up with a second portable butane stove, new (soon to be monogrammed) chef's jacket, pig shaped chalk board to ward off spectators at comps, pig shaped ceramic pepper grinder, and ipod music system for cooks. Oh, I forgot about the 30qt stock pot for beer/soup/stew!

The GF got me the SM logo on the new comp/catering trailer and a new IPAD case. The GFs brother in-law got me a Cabela's freshwater tackle backpack. And her parents got me a pair of fishing boots and fishing sandals. I am a lucky man.

All my gifts from my wife were wrapped in Justin Beiber wrapping paper...very strange.

I got a 16 qt stainless steel stock pot, a 7 qt cast iron dutch oven, an iGrill thermometer, a boat load of Notre Dame shirts, jerseys, and hoodies. I got myself a variety of Simply Marvelous rubs I'm gonna try over the next few days. Got some gift cards and cash too...thinking thermapen and a membership to the Brethren!

I must have been a really good boy this year!

BWS - Fat Boy
Victorinox 12 Chefs knife (man, that thing is huge!!). Got to use it on the rib roast yesterday. Very nice!
Blade cover for the knife.
Socks.
Shirts.
Candy!
Blu-Ray DVDs.
New tubes for my Sony G90 CRT projector for the home theater! Yes!
And a great time with the wife yesterday.

Now, I need to figure out how we are going to pay for all this stuff.

Merry Christmas everybody!

The wife and I bought a 55" Samsung LED right after Thanksgiving (on sale), so that was our gift. But then she surprised me with a red Thermapen for Christmas, which I promptly used on the ham I cooked! Life is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Santa had a problem and wasn't able to deliver my wife's gift to me, so FedEx is delivering it today . . . .

A nice stainless steel work top, and enough drawers and cabinet space to house knives, utensils, spices, half-pans, etc., etc., etc. Say goodbye to storage bins stacked on and under the table!

I'm looking forward to rolling this out of the trailer for comps and backyard entertaining.
