I used the directions on the corn meal package, with some diced japs (from the jar) and a can of corn. Added some shredded cheese, too, but it always seems to disappear. Put coals around the outside of my Weber, put some oil in the skillet and got it good and hot. The cornbread took about 45 mins. Might have needed more coals. Came out really good...maybe a little spicy for some and a bit dry....prob just needed more milk in the batter. Overall I was very happy for the first attempt at doing it on the Weber!

That's a right fine looking spread there. I'd hit that!

Good job on the cornbread. If it was dry try adding a little oil to the batter, or add more cheese which has oil in it. Also cook it a shorter period of time over a hotter fire. Just make sure it is not too thick to cook all the way through.
