This was one of the best run comps I've ever attended! From the moment you arrived until the time you left, there was always someone there to answer questions or help you out if needed. The location could not have been better, a shaded campground with showers on location, water connections and 30-amp electricity provided to everyone. The awards were amazing... custom wooden plaques made by the local high school shop kids, laser etched... and awarded down the 10th place in each category!

47 teams for a first year event was impressive, and even more impressive was how well Mike and his crew managed the event.

Thanks Mike Eberle for all your hard work and we will DEFINITELY be back again next year!!

I went to judge and also thought that it was well organized and handled well by the KCBS reps. The 'How does that happen' award goes to Pork Patrol for finishing 11th in all four categories. I'm pretty sure I've never seen that before.

There is no way that you could tell that this was a first year contest! Everything from communications with the judges to ice for the teams was abso-farkin'-lutely top notch. At almost every first time comp you get that "Oh crap, we forgot to do this, that or the other". Not here - everything just seemed to flow along smoooooothly.

I got there Wednesday to sit in on Bunny's CBJ class and Rich's TC class on Thursday. Both were very well run and informative. If you get a chance to catch one of their classes grab it - it's well worth your time.

thanks for the compliments, gentlemen. our bbq committee worked hard to make sure the i's were dotted and the t's were crossed. a few things we could do better, we're gonna catch up on our sleep and start planning again soon.

thanks to rich and bunny for taking care of us rookies for the week. 50 new cbj and 15 new tc are now ready for work. you ran a great contest. thank you.

it boggles my mind that 47 teams of that quality would come to a first year contest. we hope you pencil us in on your competition calendars for next year. thank you.

and thanks to the judges, many of whom traveled a long way to help make our contest a success. it takes a lot of moving parts to make the engine go. thanks.

This event was friggin great. The ability to drive out my back door to compete with some of those "hot" teams is a privilege.

Great job, Mike and crew.

A big kudos goes out to Mike and his crew for a great contest. You guys really did your homework and we'll certainly be back! To top it off we got to meet some Brethren members that we hadn't met before. Looking forward to North Platte next weekend!
