Since everything else I found was LAST year's GR thread, I had to ask if anyone knows the results from Grand Rapids yet. I'm interested in who won everything but also impressions of whether or not improvements were made over 2006. Hope we had some Brethren walking!

Jeff, I had planned on attending yesterday morning. The rain detered me from driving over.
I read on another forum that Great Lakes Feed and Grain Team took GC.
Ford Allison is the boss/owner of that team. Not sure if you met him last year or not. He had the 2 FE 100s, inside a trailer located on the tennis courts I believe.
Im kind of curious if the conditions had improved as well.
Im sure Tonto and other will let us know.

Being that this was our first comp, thus having only read about the past conditions, we were pretty pleased. No electricity, water buffalo only, no grey water dump......but we had the motorhome. Plenty of clean porta potties, and ice was plentiful. seemed to me that they were definetly trying to improve from past years.

Congratulations Ford and Tonto. Great job to both of you and all your team members.

BTW, is Motley Que Crew our Motley Que? If so, congratulations are in order for your 10th place overall.

Great showing Tonto and your team. Im so happy that creature comforts were much better this year than in the past.
I see in the results Big Moe placed again as well. Did he show up after 7am again to start his fire?
Sorry I didnt make it over to meet you as I had hoped.

Thank you all......it means a lot ... and I would like to say thank you to all Brethren. I have learned so much from ya'll and don't think for a minute we would have had such good results without the invaluble info and commradery(sp?) you give so freely. I learned this weekend that what they say about BBQ folks being the best is an understatment!!!!!! OK, I'll get off my soapbox now(sorry I'm a chick with a Martini or two in me)

Bull, never got to meet Moe, and to be honest, most of the weekend was a blur....we met so many folks that I could'nt even tell ya where he was set up. Sorry you coud'nt make it , hope to see you in Silver Lake.

Jim, I'm embarresed to say I don't know if it's the same Motley Que.....but they were great folks!!

Jeff......I must have said your " it ain't brain surgery, just BBQ" saying to myself 50 times....thanks

Must sleep soon, not sure how some of ya'll do it every weekend
