I have a guy that sells St. Louis trimmed ribs for around $2/pound. I have two sample slabs that I'm going to cook this weekend.

Here's the problem - the ribs are shipped frozen, but not in cryo. Which of course makes them difficult to separate and freeze for longer periods of time.

Anyone bought a case of loose frozen ribs before? Everything I've had has been in cryo.

I've used Curley's ribs in the past. Packed the same way. To separate them, take the case and SLAM it on the ground (preferably concrete). Pick up and SLAM the other side of the case. Then they come apart easily.

I've run into that problem with Dino Ribs...

The 'Slam Method' works on most of them, but the remainders need to be thawed a tad and then split.

Once split, cryo-suck them quickly and get them back into the freezer...
