Funny, JJC Custom Pits is located in Flint. I'm a tough critic on restaurant BBQ. Stanley's does a very good job.

Guess I'm the lone holdout that doesn't care for Stanley's.....
Purple Pig on 155 S is close to you although I've never tried it.
Pat G's has some interesting atmosphere - if you can find it.
Country Tavern - a bit further but has a reputation for stellar ribs - then again I haven't eaten there in years.
Al's BBQ in Cuney.... road side shack - never have tried it.
Guess I'm not much help..... Good luck.
