Turkey on the smoker, finishing in oven?

A strange question, but I only have a Smokey Joe mini, and the 14 pounder is big enough that I'm worrying about it cooking evenly. I'll have to stand it up like a beercan chicken and I'm hoping that it's not too wide such that it touches the sides.

So, any tips for doing this, and anything to worry about if I decide to finish it in the oven after smoking it for an hour or so for flavor?
 
It looks like it'll fit, but just barely. An inch of room on each side, and about 1 inch of clearance from the very top of the turkey to the lid. It looks like I may not have to worry about the clearance, but I'll still move the turkey to the oven after an hour for more even heating. I can't imagine that it'll cook evenly filling up the SJ mini like that.

A spatchcocked turkey half will fit, but I need a whole bird for Thursday.

I can't wait until I can get a real WSM but i'm surprised by the things that'll fit in this thing :becky:
