Can you use both probes in meat with a maverick?

Ones for meat other for smoker temp. Is there a reason not to use both probes for meat? Just curious as ill have a few things going and im just thinking logistics.....but also don't wanna fry my unit.

I do that all the time. Depending on what type of smoker you use, get a 12" turkey fryer thermo or a single probe thrmo for smoker temps. You can get a relatively inexpensive single probe (non remote) for $10....
