What to do with an extra 22" Weber. body
In another thread I lamented about opening my brand new smoker to find the body was dented where the rim meets the dome. Weber is sending me a new body. What do I do with the old one? Think I could rig up some sort of grill out of it?

I would mount a rotisserie in it.
You could use it to hang meats also if modified. Will it stack up on the lower ring and make a taller unit? jon |

Do you mean the Center section?
I converted mine to a dedicated WSM rotisserie ring. Used it quite a bit until I got a reversable ring from Cajun Bandit. Others made a "stacker" for multi level cooking grates.

Some use them for UDS lids.
If you don't want it, sell or donate it to a member of the Brethren. |

Are you talking about a kettle or WSM?
I've seen brethren use the bottom section of a kettle for the lid for a UDS. Makes for a TALL lid! I always wanted to do it.

Yes, I am talking about the center section. I was thinking about having a buddy weld something to the bottom and seal up the door, then make a WSM UDS?

A really cool telescope. Or turn a kettle into a WSM.
