Pulled Pork question??

Has anyone ever used a whole Ham to make pulled pork ?? having trouble finding shoulders or butts at a reasonable price but can get whole ham for $1.20/lb...will it taste the same or not ...never cooked one ..thanks
 
I have not really done it intentionally, but I have pulled ham before. Are you talking about cured or not cured ham? Either way, the flavor is different. If cured, it isn't even in the ballpark.
 
I have used fresh ham before to make pulled pork. I prefer it because the yield is better per pound than on a butt. To me there is no taste difference.
