Chris, looks like you knocked those meatballs out of the park! Not only a great first entry, but one that's going to be hard to beat.

Find the Meat Balls alongside the Bacon Wrapped Chicken Thighs; I'll give you a hint: they are the round ones covered with bacon

I think your best bet is to just show your balls to the voters and let them decide.

BBQ Meatballs Stuffed with Roasted Green Chilies & Oaxaca Cheese
This has been running through my head incessantly.

In an attempt to quell the General's temper, and hopefully hold off his zombie troops.... I present: BBQ Meatballs Stuffed with Roasted Green Chilies & Oaxaca Cheese (aka meatloaf, nacho meatballs, SPOINKs) Started with: Bacon Ground Beef Pork sausage Hatch peppers Serrano peppers Qaxaca cheese Tortilla chips Hot salsa First I needed to roast the chilies. In fact we will Fire Roast the chili peppers. Hear that General?? Fire Roast! \ Let them cool slightly, then I ran them under cold water and the skin came right off, I also seeded them at this time. I chopped up the roasted chilies and the qaxaca cheese, and crumbled up the tortilla chips. I needed a binder, and I could have used oil, I could have used eggs. I like to use mayonnaise. All into the tub with the ground meats, some spices and salsa. Got it all combined well. Those pieces of white is the oaxaca cheese. Now prepare the covering of the first ball. This IS a ball throwdown right? Lay in the core of the ball. This first ball is for the international community and is my rendition of the soccer ball. Garlic there for size perspective. Since we have a soccer ball, why not a football for the 'Mericans. Onto the kettle indirect with charcoal and a small cherry log for 1.5 hours, then sauced with my new bbq sauce in I have in development and let the sauce set. Cross section of "soccer ball" Cross section of "football" Plated with a salad topped with Mexican green onions. TD Shot Quote:
