The first Saturday of December is the Skywarn appreciation day and we srt up a radio station at the local weather service office and try to contact as many of the other weather station as we can. this is a 24 hour event starting as 0000Z Dec 1.
I decided to make pulled pork

Thursday night butts were put on the kamado at 9pm.

Nit quite done at 8am.

At 10 am they were probe perfect, so put them in a pan and covered with foil then into a cooler and covered towels. then heated to the weather station.

time for dinner, the pork was still plenty hot, pulled nicely and was served with regular sauce and apricot sauce. the apricot sauce was the preferred one.

I used to always enjoy the annual Field Day event our local club had in conjunction with the local RACES group. I'm quite inactive now but I did enjoy it for a long time!

Yeah, cool cook post, I loved the extra event description. It looked like you had a lot of fun together. Pulled pork looked delicious and I love the idea of apricot sauce, too!

I was the first trustee for WX7LAS in Las Vegas...Skywarn Day...alot of fun and nice to be in a warm building. That Pork shred looks mighty tasty..

I don't own an HF rig anymore. All I have is a 2m HT and I rarely even turn it on.
