I love that! Now I'm gonna have that little itch in my brain that won't be scratched until I have something like that in my backyard. Great project!

I will finish it with Australian Timber Oil.I really like this finish for outdoor items I build. I used this on the table I built for my Big Green Egg.

Here's a link so you know what it is, buy it wherever you want. Not advocating Menards, just providing an example.

The tongue and groove is pine carsiding. You can find it at most home improvement centers. Just be sure to glue the groove. Makes a great seal, easy to put together and looks nice too. Adds a little style versus flat boards.

I don't have plans for it. I just researched smoke houses online and built it based on my own vision and what I saw other do. I tried to take good photos so others could copy it. Luckily, I'm pretty good at winging it and building things.

If you have specific questions about the build PM and I'll try to answer your questions.

Wow, Just caught this thread.
I've seen smoke houses and thought there'd be more to it. I'm pretty hand with the tools and skills needed for a project like this, but unconsciously thought there's more that goes into one of these.

I've been thinking that I'm outgrowing my WSM 22.5, but can't afford anything larger.
heck, for what you've got in this, you could have built three 22" WSM !!!

A few thoughts and ideas come to mind though....

- Are there any thoughts about the type of wood used imparting any flavor to the meat?
- Some fixed casters on the back, bottom of the unit and you'd be able to tip it back so the wheels hit the ground. Then you could move it around like a two wheeled cart.
- Making the internal dimensions compatible with hotel pans, turkey pans, and the like, would be very beneficial.
