Chris Lilly Big Bob sauce substitutes...

Hi there

Thought I'd try a Chris Lilly rib recipe (Pineapple ribs page 193) with sauce that requires two other sauces... Big Bob's Championship Red Sauce (which it says is available retail), and BB's Habanero Red Sauce which isn't in the CL book. Do any of you have some suitable substitute recipies for these two sauces given what I am trying to deliver?

Time to convince the troops that sweet is good :grin:.

I think the Red Sauce receipe is better than the store bought myself. I use chicken stock instead of water though.

I bet you could sweat out some Habenero Pepper in some butter and mix with the red sauce to get in the neighborhood.

Oh, I see, use the Memphis-style Championship Red Sauce on page 220... thanks, and just add slightly done peppers... thanks, good thinking 99.
