Smoked Venison Loins?
I was just cleanin out my freezer and found a nice piece of loin from last years buck. I have no idea how it lasted this long(must have been hidden by my wife, she has a problem with eatin Bambi
Anyhow i got to thinkin how good this might be smoked. Usualy i cut it into steaks and grill, but i wanna try to smoke it whole and slice to serve. has anyone ever smoked one of these, I would like some ideas as to a rub and what type of wood to use. For wood i have some apple,hickory, and maple. I was thinking of seasoned salt, pepper, and no salt/no sugar, over the apple, but if someone else has done one before or has a different idea I am open to suggestion. And if my wife will show me how to download the pics i will try to post some when all done. Thanks in advance. Mike |
