iGrill thermo

Android for some

Cool. I had heard they were working on an Android app. Would love to hear your feedback after you try it out.

Unfortunately not available for the Nexus. So for Android owners check compatibilty before you pull the trigger on a purchase! I have the Nexus as well as an iPhone so I could still use it....

For those of you that have one, do the probes have silicon or braided stainless steel covering?

Sorry J'ville, I just used the link above and checked for availability and it was showing they weren't in stock. I logged into my AT&T account and now they are showing in stock. I wished they would get their crap together.

I'm going to go to a store and look at them. If they are SS I may pull the trigger.

I just picked up a black Igrill from my local AT&T store. Got it for the online sale price of $59.25 and it does have 2 stainless steel probes!

I have a white one, with 2 stainless steel probes. I have lost connectivity to them in the middle of a cook, but all I need to do is tell my iPhone to forget about the pairing, and then re-pair.

I use it to monitor butts and birds in the smoker and/or oven.

I like it, even though I have my eye on a Maverick.

Please give your findings after a couple of cooks, I'm interested to hear your opinions. Might buy one.

Same. I will be cooking a brisket tomorrow and see how it does. I will have it outside in a ziplock bag and see how well it work through a couple walls. I'll post findings when I am done.

One of the reps at the store ask me to let him know how it works. He was thinking about buying one, but the $80 price tag put him off. He didn't realize they were on sale.

Hopefully I'll be able to us mine Saturday, it's my only day off this week.

I've already synced mine with my phone to make sure it works. I'm a little geeked out about trying this now.

Yeah, my Galaxy Nexus is compatible, burn not my Nexus 7. I would only assu,e it is only a matter of time. Still debating one. I do need a new thermometer. And hopefully they work on the app more. It would appear some of the reviews are saying it is just a crappy port from iPhone and just does some basics. I'll have to read a little more before making my decision I guess.

I've just been winging my cooks for the past 4 months anyway. Getting pretty good at it. Hahaha.

If I do end up with one, I will most definitely give a report on the Android app and thermo itself.

Excellent, looking forward to hear your finding?

I have one on order, but the AT&T one is $20 less and the one I ordered is back ordered.

So I'm going to cancell the other order and go to AT&T and get one.
