At wally world Thursday there were 2 packers there. one wad 11.3 Lb and the other was 13.8 lb each for 10.49:shock: the sell by date was Friday. One is in the freezer and the other is on the way to corned beef.

I found many different recipes for corned beef ant they are all mainly salt and water and time. Spices, sugar and saltpeter were optional.

This one is in kosher salt, sea salt, molasses, pickling spice and paprika. I will be turning it over daily and it should be ready in about 3 weeks on the refrigerator. Then the plan is to smoke it for pastrami:-D
