California State Barbecue Championship at Follows Camp

FOLLOWS CAMP, California -- On Friday and Saturday, August 6 & 7, 2004.
The Go for the Gold California State Barbecue Championship will be held at Follows Camp, north of Azusa, in the San Gabriel Mountains.

I knew about it. It's on the KCCBS site. I don't have enough of the right equipment or a truck to get it up there.

I hear this is a great time cuz there is no rush to get out of the campgrounds on saturday after the awards. Lots of chater on the CBBQA list about it too.

Mista you should holla at BigMofo and see if the two of you cant pull it off.

U-Haul trailer rental is very cheap, around here anyway. I rent a 4x8 when we go camping for $10per day.

I wish I would have been able to go. I have to take my wife to a social event. Isn't BBQing the Social Event? Talk to people, great food, some drinking. That is being social.
