What a great weekend. To meet so many Brethren and see so many great FE cooks. Thom Emory did a great job and the Stagecoach staff were on top of everything. I left feeling three days of BBQ and music just "ain't" enough.

Great to meet everyone. Going to the airport now.

Maybe we will do four days next year
Really sorry "Security" blocked the exit
I asked everyone I could to get the teams out
But just like last year once Security takes over
the gate logic takes a exit

Missing Result:

Four Q Country - People's choice winner Saturday and Sunday.

We really had a great time even though this was a long grueling weekend. My feet still hurt so much that I can barely walk today but it was totally worth it.

It was great to meat Eric and all of the AZ Brethren that I hadn't met before. It was also great to meet Merl and spend some time talking to him.

Congrats to Rub-A-Dub for walking at his first contest.

Thanks to Notley Que and his Dad, Brian-in-SoCal (inside joke. I'll let Notley Que tell it later) for all of their help. Glad to have you guys as friends!

Thanks to Thom and Ben for putting this contest on. I don't know how you guys do it with the concert promoters and all the teams giving you crap but I want it known that I appreciate you guys. You are practically, the only ones putting on contests in California and without you Comp BBQ in California would be in serious trouble.

Special thanks to all the members of Four Q Country and our helpers. You all did an awesome job and I am proud of you all.

Pics later...

Sorry Neil. I pulled the results of the CBBQA Wiki and didn't see People's Choice. If it were me that's the one that would mean the most to me.

Congrats...

Outside of the extras leftover from our turn-ins, we cooked about 26 butts, 100 fatties, chicken wings, Mango-avocado salsa, chili and spam candy.

We brought nothing home.

Great event, and I'm looking forward to next year already.

I want to thank Janine and Brian who came out to tape a mini documentary about barbecuers for the america.gov website. Don't want to reveal too much on this before it's available online in a couple of months. Besides being exemplary professionals, they also hung out with Four Q Country and had fun helping us feed the public during People's Choice. They're both really great people and I think they "got" the fun and hard work that goes into contest BBQ.
