What a cool site! Glad I found y'all. Spent a hot summer working as a pit boss for a catering concern down in SoCal. They had a couple of kick-ass 6' custom buckboard pits on real wagon wheels. Been working on my skills in the backyard here in Portland ever since. I still like que'n for as many folks as I can fit inside the fences. Strictly dry-rub only, though I've threatened my chickens with a good brining if they ever stop laying. Never tried smoking before, though after being on this site I'm now thinking about getting the fire box attachment for my Char-Griller. My wife started a backyard farming business, so now I make room on my grill for veggies along side the recently deceased. Add a great craft beer that I've never tried before, and you couldn't drag me out of my backyard with a skip loader.

This is the place to learn, lots of good info and helpful friendly Members.
