Default CVAP for Competition?

Reading another thread got me wondering if anyone uses a CVAP to hold meat for a comp?

I'm GUESSING that it wouldn't be considered cooking since the meat was a higher internal temp before going into the CVAP, but made me wonder. Stupid musings on my part. Just curious.

Nope. No heat sources other than wood, charcoal, pellets. Even for holding.

Well you can't use an electric Cambro, so I would say that an electric warmer is a no go. I have seen heat lamps being used in a couple of camp sites on various BBQ TV shows, but I would even question the use of those as legal.
