Oh no... What happened in OKC?? So I assume you are driving. On the way back try to hit Butcher BBQ Stand, on Rt 66 just outside OKC, or some OK onion burgers in El Reno, just past OKC. Sid's, Johnnie's and Robert's are the three old school joints. Sid's being the most touristy having been featured on Food Network.

Thanks for the food suggestions on the way home, Andy.

Drove to OKC for a cheap(er) SouthWest flight up here to Philly.

Stayed the night in the worst hotel I've ever experienced. - The Microtel by Wyndham - Airport area on S MacArthur. I've never slept on a pullout "sofa bed" frame inside an ashtray before... but now I can check that off my bucket list. We were in the building for 5 hours, and couldn't wait to get out.

Enjoyed the "Please Touch Museum" this afternoon. Wore the kid plum out!

Discovered a Mediterranean / Middle Eastern "Fast Casual" joint called Naf Naf for a late lunch - Chicken Kebab, basmati rice, felafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, naan, pickles, cabbage... good stuff.

Oh, and before you go, try a Rita’s - locations everywhere. I used to love the mango. It has mango ice on the bottom, then super creamy smooth ‘custard’, then a dollop of mango on the top.

The use of the word custard may not be that appetising, but whatever they call it it ain’t custard, it’s creamy heaven.

Thanks, Ralph. Doesn't look like it's in the cards this time. Really sounds tasty, and I know the munchkin would destroy it.

Just wrapped up the big wedding day with dinner back at the Iron Hill Brewery, and thoroughly enjoyed their food, their Porter, and Imperial Stout.

Oh, wow! We were really close!

Next time, George.... and there MUST be a next time. Philly & surround had so much awesome stuff to see and do that there was no way we'd even scratch the surface in a long weekend.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but Ralph's box is full...

Hey Ralph,

A couple years ago we talked about meeting when you were on a previous family visit, but our paths just didn't cross because of time.

If you come to Jersey again, maybe we could try to coordinate to have lunch or something?

Sunday the 8th, I am away at a motorcycle rally but will return for work on Monday Morning.

Bob
