Finally finished my 1st UDS. Here are some pics. Recycled shelf & wheels. Weber lid, extended the tab inside the lid so I can hang it on the side on the barrel, grate hook on the side, (2) grates, (2) 10" turkey thermometers, (2) "fat man" handles for the 3/4" valves, (2) nipples 3/4", homemade charcoal basket with air flow ring, plow disk ash pan, and my favorite, a flame paint job with clearcoat (all 2000 degree header paint).
I wish I had a CNC machine or knew where to get a couple of pig shaped metal silhouette's. I would weld them on the "fat man" handles. I plan to make a wind proof paper towel holder for it too.

I got one on ebay for $35.

Here's a pic of the name badge I finally made for my SS UDS. As you can see by the date, it took me a while!

I got the BGE vent from the local BGE dealer. The gasket are Rutland brand from the local Ace Hardware store.

Me? I made it. I started with a left-over piece of stainless, made an electrode out of graphite, and burned the image in on an EDM machine (Electrical Discharge Machining). The only way I can describe it is sorta like welding in reverse, using electricity to (slowly) remove metal. It's what I do for a living.

We use EDM machines where I work, but thin wire for very fine holes.

What would you charge to make on for me?
