BBQ Joints In the Texas Panhandle

Had food from The Shack for the first time in months the other night. I'd say its right up there with Evie Mae's. Both places are terrific.
 
Really good BBQ now in the panhandle. For me the best are The bbq shop in farwell (only open for lunch on Thursdays), weekends bbq in plainview, and the Rusty Pit BBQ in Hereford. In Amarillo Tyler’s and Spicy Mikes (I call him magic mike :) ain’t too shabby!
 
Great write-ups, and thanks for the info!

It's not uncommon for us to send an unsuspecting LT or Airman out to pickup food from The BBQ Shop in Farwell, but you have to leave "early," due to the time change just down the road.

If we drive to Amarillo, we typically stop by Tyler's (a super nice guy, too) for a bite.

I need to hit some of these others when we have a minute.
