Went to the local Farmer’s mkt this morning:
Morels are out!

Sautéed with butter and olive oil, seasoned with Q-Salt and drizzled with a squeeze from a fresh lemon.

Perfection

Morels are good but I got poison oak real bad once crawling under brush to get them and it brigs back bad memories.

Enjoy!

Those look good. Very jealous. Be waiting another 2 months here for them to start popping. Oyster mushrooms were everywhere last year in our area.

Around here $5 would buy you 3 or 4 of them during prime season... I'm jealous!

One of the hardest things for my tiny kind is remembering if I’m turkey hunting or mushroom hunting. It can be such a blur...

Shock gobble. Hunt turkey. No shock gobble. Find morels. Hahaha. Can’t wait. Great time of year.

Man do those look good! Makes my mouth water at the thought.
24" of snow on the ground and the predicted HIGH today is 0F.
Not morel season in this neck of the woods.

Sounds really good! I like to cook them that way the best. Growing up, we ate them battered and fried only...and that was the only time we ever ate mushrooms.

They look great. We are buried in snow and below zero temps next week so going to be awhile here.
